Initial reports of healthcare renewal rates under the terms of the Affordable Care Act are trickling in, with consistent reports of shocking rate increases. A handful of cases against high profile employers has called attention to the Department of Labor's guidelines regarding interns and how employers pay them.  In the first well-publicized case, a former intern at Harper's Bazaar magazine claims that the magazine utilizes unpaid interns as a crucial part of their workforce. She cites duties such as delivering samples, inventorying show items, and processing reimbursement requests all as work for which she should have been paid.
