Pittsburgh in middle of U.S. News' Best Places to Live list

Pittsburgh made U.S. News and World Report’s 2017 Best Places to Live list, but ranks nowhere near as high as others have placed the Steel City.

Pittsburgh ranked No. 58 out of 100, between Columbus, Ohio, and Tulsa, Okla., in the publication’s annual ranking. It surveyed residents around the country along with data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the U.S. Census Bureau, FBI and other measures.

More Employers Embrace RPO as Hiring Battles Heat Up

The tightening labor market has some employers turning to recruitment process outsourcing (RPO), growing the market by 17 percent in 2015 over 2014, according to the Everest Group, a consulting and research firm. A majority of global RPO growth is attributed to new deal activity, which grew at a rate of more than 18 percent year-over-year.
